Green Organic: Japanese Genmaicha

Description

This very popular Japanese green tea was born out of the need to extend Japan’s tea supply during World War II. People added husked rice to the tea leaves to make their tea last. Out of this necessity, one of Japan’s favorite teas were born. Genmaicha is bright green with a delicate toasted barley taste. Produced in the Shizuoka Prefecture on Japan’s highest peak, Mt Fuji.
